Health Promotion in Schools with Pump the Bear book

HAPPINESS - Things that make my heart happy...

THE W.W.W. HEALTH FOUNDATION -  My heart hero son Wyatt and I created this foundation. The W.W.W. Health Foundation is a MOVEment dedicated to raising awareness of disease prevention, and health promotion programs through education, advocacy, and grassroots efforts.

We are in a healthcare crisis! These are the facts:

  • Over 66% of adults are overweight, with almost 35% being obese, and over 30% of children are overweight. Obesity is a major risk for heart disease. This may be the first generation of kids who will not outlive their parents if we don't make our health a priority!
  • Risk factors for heart disease, such as high cholesterol and high blood pressure, occur with increased frequency in overweight children.
  • It has been predicted that for every child born after the year 2000, 1 out of 3 Caucasians, 1 out of 2 Hispanics, and 2 out of 5 African Americans will become diabetic.
  • Overweight kids have a 70% chance of becoming overweight or obese adults.

Get involved...Be a life-saver! We are always looking for health advocates and volunteers for our programs and events. Our motto is simple:
1. Eat smart
2. Stay Active
3. Be Tobacco-Free
