All things that make my heart happy:

The definition of wellness, long used by the National Wellness Institute is consistent with these 6 tenets.

Wellness is the active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence.

1. OCCUPATIONAL - Recognizes personal satisfaction and enrichment in one's life through work.

US Bureau of Labor - https://www.bls.gov/ooh/

2. PHYSICAL - The need for regular physical activity, healthy nutrition, no smoking/drugs, or excessive alcohol.

3. SOCIAL - Encourages contributing to one's environment and community.

The W.W.W. Health Foundation. My heart hero son Wyatt and I created this foundation. The W.W.W. Health Foundation is a MOVEment dedicated to raising awareness of disease prevention, and health promotion programs through education, advocacy, and grassroots efforts. We are in a healthcare crisis! These are the facts:
Over 66% of adults are overweight, with almost 35% being obese, and over 30% of children are overweight. Obesity is a major risk for heart disease. This may be the first generation of kids who will not outlive their parents if we don't make our health a priority!

Risk factors for heart disease, such as high cholesterol and high blood pressure, occur with increased frequency in overweight children.

It has been predicted that for every child born after the year 2000, 1 out of 3 Caucasians, 1 out of 2 Hispanics, and 2 out of 5 African Americans will become diabetic.

Overweight kids have a 70% chance of becoming overweight or obese adults.

Get involved...Be a life-saver! We are always looking for health advocates and volunteers for our programs and events. Our motto is simple:
1. Eat smart
2. Stay Active
3. Be Tobacco-Free
